Celebrating Christmas in a unique location? Then visit the Christmas markets in Vesting Bourtange, one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the Netherlands. The entire fortress is beautifully lit, the bridges and access roads are decorated with thousands of lights and the ramparts are lined with dozens of illuminated Christmas trees. A unique experience.
There is plenty of atmosphere and conviviality on the Market Square around the large Christmas tree. Nearly 100 stalls spread over the various squares and bastions offer the most diverse Christmas assortment. Christmas lovers can indulge themselves here. The whole is graced by various choirs and artists and with the falling darkness the atmosphere only increases. Of course, the Glühwein and the hot chocolate are not missing.
