Once inside Bourtange Fortress, the desire to spend the night arises naturally. After exploring the fortress via the museums or the AR Tour, you will want to experience what it is like to sleep in a historic captain's or soldier's room. Although some rooms feature an alcove bed, you do not have to sleep sitting up, as was the case in the past. All beds are standard size. The wooden front wall immediately adds a pleasant atmosphere to the room.
